Rhythms of Home is a culturally rooted community event for Boyle Heights and Northeast LA families, centering maternal-language storytelling, music, art, and play. We begin with grounding through breath and rhythm, then move into caregiver-child co-regulation workshops. Families join art workshops to share stories and identity, and music-and-movement workshops for stress release. Facilitators offer brief, practical mental health skills on sleep, anxiety, grief, and trauma. Bilingual staff provide resource navigation and warm referrals. Each workshop reduces stigma, strengthens belonging across generations, and offers a low-barrier path to support — honoring culture as a protective factor for family wellness in our neighborhoods, together.
