M & A Leadership, CAAASA, and Palmdale School District are partnering to host the Spring Literacy & Wellness Celebration, an event promoting mental health awareness, literacy, and community wellbeing. Free book giveaways and author engagements will encourage family participation in literacy activities that reinforce social-emotional learning and resilience. Discussions will highlight how literature can support emotional development, including Nikki Grimes' A Walk in the Woods. The event will also connect families with organizations offering mental health and wellness resources, including BrightLife Kids and Soluna. By linking literacy with mental health awareness, the event encourages families to access supportive community resources.
