Legacies of Resistance is a one-day summit on May 15 at the Los Angeles Central Library bringing together educators, youth workers, parents, advocates, and community leaders committed to breaking cycles of domestic violence and the school-to-prison pipeline. Grounded in local and community history, the summit highlights strategies of resistance, healing, and collective care rooted in the lived experiences of Los Angeles communities. Through keynote conversations, interactive workshops, and resource sharing, participants will explore how reclaiming historical memory can strengthen protective factors, build resilience in at-risk youth, and transform systems through community-led solutions.
