Behind the Role is a curated spoken word experience exploring the emotions and pressures that often live behind the roles we carry—caregiver, provider, parent, and community leader. Through original poetry and storytelling, artists share reflections on responsibility, identity, and the quiet emotional labor many people hold. The event includes a brief sound bowl meditation to create a moment of grounding and reflection. Community partners will also be present with information and resources that support mental wellbeing throughout Los Angeles County.
